Development

CHRMS advances healthcare risk management through educational programs and resources that support the development of health care risk management professionals.  CHRMS provides a forum for a myriad of healthcare risk management and patient safety issues and their impact on stakeholders and the broader healthcare environment.

Educational Programs & CE Opportunities

Offered in various modalities, i.e., face to face, audio/webinar.  Topic areas may include:  legal/regulatory, claims management, patient safety, risk financing and more.

CHRMS offers ASHRM continuing education credits toward CPHRM renewal and FASHRM/DFASHRM professional recognition; and Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credits from the Illinois Supreme Court.

CPHRM Certification

CHRMS supports the advancement of healthcare risk management professionals through professional certification.  The purpose of CPHRM Certification is to promote healthcare risk management through the certification of qualified individuals by:

  • Encouraging continued personal and professional growth in the practice of healthcare risk management.
  • Providing a national standard of requisite knowledge required for certification; thereby assisting employers, the public and members of the health professions in the assessment of a healthcare risk manager.

 

Professional Recognition
